The Second Vatican Council has had a significant impact on the ecumenical consciousness of the Catholic community, especially because of the writings and statements of two recent Popes, John XXIII and Francis I. Their reflections on relationships with members of other faiths—and with people of no faith—have moved us to some new visions about these relationships. This presentation will focus on some of the more striking new directions on these issues, especially fitting to do so in this 500th anniversary year of the Protestant Reformation.
