Many of us find that the season of Lent is an especially opportune time for praying with Sacred Scripture. The document of the Second Vatican Council entitled ‘Verbum Dei’ (The Word of God) emphasizes the importance of reflecting on the Scriptures as the “living word of God” in personal prayer and in the liturgy. Praying with Scripture can be an enriching experience during our spiritual journey as we spend quality time reflecting on the Word of God.
Please join us for this evening program that will help us to think about how we approach praying with Scripture and to consider the overall importance of reflecting on Scripture in our spiritual life. The program will include the opportunity for meditation on a Scripture passage for the Lenten season with faith sharing afterward.
