Description: This day of recollection will allow participants the opportunity to reflect upon the three comings of Christ. In the first coming, Christ was born in our flesh and in our weakness for our redemption. In the final coming, he will be seen in glory and majesty. While the first and the final coming are the subject of much reflection by the Church, St. Bernard of Clairvaux (1090–1153) also writes about a middle coming, where Christ comes in spirit and in power to be our rest and consolation. Special emphasis will be placed on this “middle” coming in preparation for the season of Advent.
Registration begins at 9:30 AM. The program includes Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction, Opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and Conferences. The program concludes with the Celebration of the Eucharist.
