Each of us is constantly being bombarded with messages about what will bring us more freedom, happiness, success, long life, inner peace, etc. But many of these messages cultivate attitudes and behaviors that work against gospel principles and separate us from God. Are we aware of the subtle ways in which our consciences and decisions are affected by advertising, websites, social media and superstitious practices?
In the Lord’s Prayer we say “deliver us from evil.” What is this evil that needs to be set free from us? Besides personal sin, how have anxiety, depression, guilt, obsessive behaviors, occult practices, and lies interfered with our pursuit of holiness? How can we be better prepared to resist evil in all its forms? This program addresses the spiritual warfare that Christians might encounter on a daily basis. We will uncover the sources of evil around us, and formulate practical ways to protect ourselves.
Printed materials will be provided. The day will include conferences, discussions, dinner, and the celebration of Eucharist.
