Dear Friends of St Paul of the Cross Retreat Center,

It is an honor to write you during this historic week here at St Paul of the Cross Retreat Center. Greetings and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ to all of you. As I begin as our new Retreat Director, I am aware of the many great directors who have proceeded me. Their work and sacrifices made it possible for me to be here today. I am grateful to Our Provincial, Fr. Jim O’Shea and his council for appointing me to this position and thank them for the confidence they have shown.

I am excited about our future and look forward to a great retreat season! I humbly ask for your prayers, I ask that each of you do a day of Fasting, or some other type of Mortification, and am asking for a financial gift to assure our future. St Paul of the Cross asked the members of his community to be teachers of prayer, over three hundred years ago, and that important mission and calling still strongly resonates with us today. Please, let’s make this happen.

Some news on projects that are underway or will shortly be started; a deep summer clean of our property, purchasing of new software, computers and updating a struggling phone system. A renewal of our outdoor garden and meditation space. A new website is also on its way. Why all this? To better serve you, and other faith seekers.
